Thursday night I was abruptly awakened when my husband
shifted in bed and managed to kick my toe, jamming it and causing a startling
pain. Tried as I might, I could not get back to sleep and gave up the battle at
4:00. It made for a long day.
Already feeling tired at 7 am, I forced myself to do my
morning workout. I chose again the Wii Fit because I really enjoy the variety
of activities and it allows me to take a moment in between activities to catch
my breath as I set up the next one. I made it to 41 mins with a variety of
cardio and strength building activities. I was really proud of myself for
getting it done.
I did end up taking close to a 2 hour nap later in the
morning and hoped I would regain enough energy to use the treadmill later that
day but it didn’t happen. I worked and then made dinner for the family.
Afterward, my husband and I dashed out before the big storm hit to pick up a
lovely and gently used couch from a friend for our living room. By the time we
got home and got settled, I was too wiped to do much of anything.
In the food area, I did great most the day. Dinner was one
of those convenient things you make because you are familiar with it and it’s
easy – Cheesy Chicken over Tater Tots. I know, I know. Not the best but the
meat was boneless and skinless…and baked so not much fat there and I tried to
be good about how many ‘taters’ I took. Still a much better day for me than
many. So here’s how it breaks down:
